Make This: Fresh Cranberry Sauce With Citrus and Jalapeno

by

Does your cranberry sauce come from a can? Mix things up a bit this year with a fresh, citrusy take on a classic. It packs a little punch and is a favorite at my house.

2 pounds fresh cranberries

2 oranges

1 tablespoon orange zest

1 jalapeno

½ cup sugar

Zest oranges, then segment and chop. Remove seeds from jalapeno and dice. Place half of orange segments and all of jalapeno into food processor, pulsing until finely chopped. Add cranberries and sugar, pulsing until combined. Place sauce mixture in bowl, and fold in remaining orange segments. Refrigerate one hour or overnight.
