Technical teams and designers are sometimes faced with very difficult circumstances to create productions. Associate Company member, Tim Henderson recounts, “I was met with the challenge of creating Romeo and Juliet like a child playing with dolls in her bedroom, and I had 10 days with no budget.”
After addressing where the script would not line up, Tim designed a set of building blocks. With rotating platforms, it allowed for multiple scenes, using different combinations of walls. The pieces came from a previous show that summer and was completed on time and under budget.
“Necessity was the mother of invention.”
