Last year was one of growth that brought many promising developments in real estate. Here’s a look at what 2019 may bring for Memphis.
• Additional growth downtown: More than $13 billion has been invested in development projects over the past four years, many taking place downtown. Construction on the One Beale Project will run into 2020.
• A new convention center: The Memphis Cook Convention Center is getting a $163 million overhaul. A construction contract was approved late last year.
• Revitalized historic buildings: Efforts to find new uses for historic buildings should continue. One such project will revitalize the Ambassador Hotel.
