Renowned dance theater swings into Memphis

The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater is coming to The Orpheum Memphis Feb. 2–3. Starting in 1958 and spanning through the decades, the company has brought the joy of African-American modern dance to people all over the world.

If you don’t have plans to see “Revelations,” make them. Ailey’s masterpiece will stir your soul with African-American spirituals, gospel and blues. Here’s the full lineup:
