Local band Southern Avenue, comprised of five diverse musicians signed to the STAX label, is taking the music industry by storm with their soul, blues and gospel sounds. These energetic artists embody the city’s traditional sounds, all while intertwining a well-developed millennial feel. Band member Ori Naftaly says they aim to bring “a [new] angle and fresh vibe to what Memphis music is.”
