Making live theatre accessible for everyone

by The 100 Companies

Playhouse on the Square has a three-tiered mission: to create a supportive space for artists to thrive, create art representative of community and never deny anyone arts access.

The latter led the organization to create “Pay What You Can” nights for every production. Thursday nights, after a show opens, the theatre opens its doors to patrons who otherwise couldn’t afford to attend. These performances take a financial hit, but it’s for good reason.

The organization believes that the power and effect of theatre is a much needed and necessary component to our culture – and that everyone deserves to experience it.
