SCS Administrator Supports Young Men, Wins Leadership Award

by

Hamilton High School’s assistant principal Elvin Bell is the winner of the 2017 JV Educational Leadership Award, a national honor for outstanding work within the area of student support services.

Principal Monekea Smith says Bell is a jack-of-all-trades, providing teaching strategies to educators and helping children with any of their needs. His dedication has even gone beyond the daily duties at Hamilton High; Bell also runs a mentoring group for young men who need guidance the most.

He will receive his honor at the SCS 15th Annual Males of Color Empowerment and Retention Conference on Oct. 26.
