On Sunday, Nov. 3, the Memphis Botanic Garden bridges the 6,500-mile gap between Bluff City and Tokyo via the Memphis Japan Festival.
Join in a communitywide celebration of the history, culture and people of Japan with fun for the whole family. Highlights include entertainment – featuring the drum beats of St. Louis Osuwa Taiko, the Memphis-based Japanese rock band Kazha, plus a Cosplay & Lolita Fashion Show – not to mention food and craft vendors boasting the best of Japan.
Exhibitors will demonstrate everything from bonsai and martial arts to goldfish scooping and candy sculpting. (Yes, Masaji Terasawa is The Candyman.) Sweet indeed.
