Stay on pointe with the graceful moves of Ballet on Wheels Dance Company while learning some black history during Groundbreakers: African-American Ballerina Stories of Triumph And Struggles, February 1-28.
The month-long celebration highlights the evolution of the black ballerina, including an exhibit featuring vintage photos and historical facts. Although Groundbreakers has already kicked off, there’s still more time to experience this celebration of the arts. See a list of upcoming events and a Ballet on Wheels Dance Company performance here.
There’s something for everyone, and every event is free and held at the Benjamin L. Hooks Library.
