Blues music is a uniquely American art form. Every year, The Blues Foundation aims to keep this style alive through the International Blues Challenge. The multi-day event has been going on all week and is one of the world’s largest gatherings of blues musicians.
Regional blues societies from around the world send their best performers to Memphis every year for the competition and showcase, which usually draws over 200 acts. Youth showcases and blues jams will take place all over Beale Street this weekend.
Tickets to the Blues Challenge finals are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
