In October, Graduate Memphis, in partnership with Shelby County Schools’ Career and Technical Education Department, Hilton Properties and the Memphis Chamber of Commerce, hosted a job-shadowing opportunity for SCS high school students.
The Hilton African-American Member Resource Group hosted the event as part of Hilton’s Open Door for Youth Initiative Week.
The job shadowing opportunity was designed to provide local high school students with early exposure to careers in the hospitality industry. During the event, students were treated to breakfast and lunch, provided with a tour of the hotel operations, and engaged in discussions with Hilton team members.
