Three Fall Break Picks for Families

Fall break is just around the corner for most Memphis-area students. If you are lucky enough to get some time off from work, there’s no shortage of autumn activities for family bonding. Here are my three picks:

• “Big Bugs” at Memphis Botanic Garden: Dragonflies, grasshoppers and daddy longlegs are among the insects represented in this exhibit of giant wooden sculptures throughout the gardens.
• Fall Art Break at the Dixon: Drop-in art activities for the whole family. October 10-13.
• Pink Palace Crafts Fair: Three days of outdoor arts and crafts, artist demonstrations and family activities. Oct. 13-15.
