St. Paul’s Annual Youth Education Scholarship Weekend Helps At-Risk Families

by Michael Polzella

Kids who drop out of school are 60 percent more likely to never attend college. They’re 70 percent more likely to be arrested for violent crimes. St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church works to reduce these statistics through its annual YES Weekend.

Each year, St. Paul, The Goodwill Ambassador Education Initiative, Little Saints Academy and Excel by 5 Olive Branch raise scholarship funds for at-risk families with young children. The scholarships help provide high-quality educations, leading to accomplished students, workers and citizens.

The Gala is Friday, May 5, and the Golf Classic is Saturday, May 6. Purchase tickets here.
