Teacher Appreciation week is the first week of May, but Shelby County Schools is celebrating educators all month with SCS MyDay.
Each school day in May, barring semester exam days, a teacher with perfect attendance will be surprised with a day off. The District will randomly select winning teachers from the perfect attendance pool. Winners will be surprised in their classrooms with balloons and a certificate for the next day off. A substitute of the teacher’s choice will be paid for by the District.
SCS MyDay is a low-cost, highly valued reward to show appreciation for the District’s teachers.
