Saxophonist and singer Kenneth Whalum III has recently released highly anticipated new music. The Bluff City native and Grammy winner completely wrote, sang and produced his entire album, “Broken Land.” He credits Memphis as an inspiration for the album.
“I love the fact I wouldn’t be willing to make this type of music if I wasn’t from here, and that’s just really how I feel about it … with this being my breeding ground where I learned a lot of early lessons,” Whalum said.
Whalum also recently played on Jay-Z’s album “4:44.” Purchase “Broken Land” on iTunes and Spotify.
