Midtown’s Playhouse on the Square kicks off 2017 with “Rock of Ages,” a production with no shortage of Aqua Net, Lycra, lace and liquor.
The story takes place toward the end of the 1980s at one of the Sunset Strip’s last hard-rocking legendary venues. It looks like the wild party is about to end when developers with plans to turn the Strip into a strip mall arrive. The production includes hits by bands such as Styx, Poison, Guns N’ Roses and Whitesnake.
“Rock of Ages” runs now through February 12. Visit Playhouse on the Square online for more information.
