Marissa Pittman is a 15-year-old entrepreneur with a serious passion for politics. She can often be found at political events, watching CNN and running her startup, Pumps and Politics 901.
While attending Memphis political events, Marissa discovered a lack of diversity among attendees. So, with the help of LITE Memphis, she founded Pumps and Politics 901, which aims to amplify political voices of women of color.
Marissa soon became the youngest Memphian ever selected for the prestigious LITE Finalist Program. To date, her organization has helped introduce and engage more than 2,000 women in the political process.
