The Memphis Comedy Festival, founded in 2012 by a group of local comedians, seems to get larger each year. This year’s festival runs from April 4-7. Performances are held at The Hi Tone Cafe, TheatreWorks and other venues.
The headliner for 2019 is Dulce Sloan, a New York-based comedian who has received national acclaim from Variety magazine and Rolling Stone. She currently serves as a correspondent on “The Daily Show with Trevor Noah.” Her headliner show, “The Black Nerd Power Comedy Hour,” is on April 6 at 7 p.m.
Tickets to the events can be purchased online.
