Hotel could be latest addition to Memphis skyline

Plans for a new hotel in downtown Memphis have city council members abuzz with excitement. If approved, the hotel will give Memphians another beautiful structure to look at in their city skyline.

The two developers, Loews Hotel & Co. and Townhouse Management Co., have even bigger plans for the property, located at 100 N. Main St. They also want to turn the area into a convention center.

Once complete, convention center and ballroom spaces would occupy the first three floors, with a 26-story hotel towering above. A Loews representative recently said that the new hotel will look “beautiful” when finished.
