Shelby County Schools Wants Community Feedback

by Michael Polzella

As the school year comes to a close, it’s a great time to reflect on the state of education in Memphis.

Since the 2013 merger of Memphis City Schools and Shelby County Schools and demerger, there have been major successes, including expanding iZone Schools from seven to 21 schools, launching Summer Learning Academies to provide learning opportunities to 7,000 students, and being named a TVAAS Level 5 district for three consecutive years by the Tennessee Department of Education.

Visit www.scsk12.org/superintendent to share your thoughts on the successes of the school district and how to move forward.
