Agriculture needs a revolution for rural America to prosper. AgLaunch, a Memphis business accelerator, is facilitating innovation by supporting ag-tech companies and helping them partner with farmers.
AgLaunch’s programs help create new ventures and offer funding support. Companies AgLaunch has assisted include Cowlar, which offers a solar-powered, non-invasive monitoring tool for cows; EarthSense, a developer of robots used for plant data collection; and Autonomous Tractor Corporation, which manufactures fuel-efficient, self-driving equipment.
Public-sector funding will help AgLaunch continue its mission. The company recently received a $750,000 grant from the United States Economic Development Administration.
