On May 2, the Mississippi River Museum will reopen its doors to visitors. The museum, which focuses on the Mississippi River’s role in the Civil War and in transportation today, temporarily closed last July.
Since then, it has received crucial updates designed to enhance the aesthetic of the museum, which is more than three decades old. The interior has been repainted, and the flow has been redesigned. Now, each patron will end their visit by stepping outside to experience an expansive view of the mighty Mississippi.
