Memphis-based nonprofit Youth Villages recently awarded $10 million in matching grant funds to expand services to help young people successfully transition out of foster care.
The grants will support implementation of Youth Villages’ YVLifeSet program in Illinois, Los Angeles, Louisiana and Washington, D.C. The program pairs foster youth with trained specialists who provide support and education around housing, transportation, employment, health and relationships.
“We are honored to be partnering with some of the country’s most dynamic child welfare leaders and forward-looking agencies to support transition-age foster youth across this country,” said Youth Villages CEO Patrick Lawler.
