SCS, Humane Society Team Up To Promote Reading and Pet Adoption

by

Cute kids and cute animals—it sounds like the perfect combination, right? Shelby County Schools and the Humane Society of Memphis and Shelby County sure think so.

Each week, SCS elementary students will be showing off their reading skills in front of the camera while highlighting adoptable dogs and cats from the Humane Society. The goal is to reward students for their hard work, as they practice their reading and help homeless pets find their forever homes.

You can check out the weekly videos on the SCS Newsroom Twitter at @scsnewsroom, as well as the Humane Society’s Twitter at @memphishumane.
