Summer is here, and thankfully the Memphis outdoor scene never disappoints.

Big River Crossing is the longest active pedestrian/bicycle bridge in the country, with breathtaking views and sounds of the Mississippi to go with it. If you’re up for it, grab your bike and head out on the Big River Trail for a 70-mile, gravel-road adventure up to Arkansas.

Looking for something quieter? Grab your fishing pole and camping chair and find a cozy, secluded spot at Reelfoot Lake. Tennessee’s only natural lake is also a nesting haven for bald eagles, so you might want to bring some binoculars too.
