Enjoy Sweet Treats During Black Restaurant Week

by Michael Polzella

Memphis Black Restaurant Week kicks off March 7 and local catering and baked goods shop Sweet Potato Baby made this year’s list. Owner and executive chef executive Aryen Moore-Alston has an eclectic resume, from IT consultant for a Fortune 500 to a producer for a cooking show. It was after Moore-Alston appeared on the 10th season of Food Network Star that she decided to transition into the culinary industry.

The chef specializes in delectable desserts and offers local cake decorating classes. Be sure to stop by Sweet Potato Baby for a sweet treat during Memphis Black Restaurant Week.
