Popular astrophysicist Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson will be making an appearance in Memphis on February 13 for a special show at the Orpheum Theatre. During his presentation, “An Astrophysicist Goes to the Movies,” Tyson will explore popular movies like “Star Wars,” “Frozen” and “Martian” to reveal the science their creators got right and what they got wrong.
The Harvard and Columbia graduate has explored star formation, exploding stars, dwarf galaxies and the structure of the Milky Way. Tyson was also the host of the 2014 series “Cosmos: A Space Time Odyssey” and is currently host of National Geographic Channel’s StarTalk.
