Pure Memphis series hopes to build on past success

by Michael Polzella

At the end of the month, Pure Memphis Music Series returns to Old Dominick Distillery. On August 23, singer-songwriter Harlan T. Bobo kicks things off with a performance co-hosted by Memphis Slim House.

The series runs until November 8, when The Wealthy West takes the stage. This fall marks the second time around the block for Pure Memphis, which debuted in January.

Hoping to capitalize on earlier success, Pure Memphis is now offering two season ticket options. In addition to Memphis Slim House, five other nonprofits will co-host shows. They will keep $5 from every ticket sold.
