2018 is a big year, as it marks the 50th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s assassination in Memphis. Since April 1, the Pink Palace Museum has been showing an exhibit honoring the late civil rights leader.
The “Remembering the Dream” exhibit centers around the artwork of Ernest Withers and her “I Am a Man” portfolio of photographs. The 10 photos tell the chronological story of the Civil Rights Movement, with interpretive panels to accompany them.
If you can’t make it to the exhibit over Memorial Day weekend, you have some time. It runs until Jan. 27, 2019.
