Memphis Slim’s former home now a hub for emerging musicians

by
Soulsville Memphis

A gem located across from the Stax Museum was once home to legendary blues artist Memphis Slim and a local hangout for Soulsville musicians. Now, it’s a hub for emerging artists to collaborate and create new sounds.

The Memphis Slim Collaboratory, under local initiative Memphis Music Magnet plan, works to revitalize the Soulsville area by creating a community for those with a passion for music and the arts. A Slim House membership gives musicians access to perks such as rehearsal space, a recording studio and a network of fellow artists.
