On Jan. 26, elementary, middle and high school dance students from throughout the Shelby County Schools district converged on Overton High School for Dance Day 2018. Dance Day included numerous styles of performance — everything from tap to abstract — from SCS girls and guys.
Eighth-grader Zaria Skinner of Colonial Middle School said she hopes the lessons she’s learning in dance class will stay with her for the rest of her life and benefit her in her future career.
“I one day want to have my own studio and teach my own class and have my own students,” she told C19TV.
