We have a verdict! Our readers have spoken, and the winner of the Thanksgiving showdown is … dressing! Cornbread dressing, to be exact.
In all fairness, most of our readers are Southern. While their opinions may be biased, dressing still reigns supreme in our eyes. Our Friendsgiving poll yielded the same results. One person voted for stuffing. He hails from Cincinnati, so it makes sense and we forgave him.
How do you make classic cornbread dressing? Buttermilk cornbread, a few slices of white bread, chicken stock, cream of chicken soup, onion, celery, sage, salt and pepper. Voila! A delicious Thanksgiving side.
