The Show Goes On at Playhouse on the Square

by The 100 Companies

The pandemic’s cancelling of live theatre has encouraged arts organizations to present their productions in new ways. Playhouse on the Square, the Mid South’s professional theatre company, has shifted during its 52nd season and now streams performances online.

To date, the theatre has produced over 200 hours of digital events to viewers nationwide — from cabarets to educational programs, musicals to staged readings.

The theatre’s May and June season conclude with onstage performances of The Taming by Lauren Gunderson, and the musical Songs for a New World by Jason Robert Brown.
