The sun may be this summer’s biggest headliner, with August 21 marking the biggest astronomical event Americans have seen in the past century — a solar eclipse.
Not since 1918 has a total eclipse cut a 70-mile-wide swath across the entire continent. Enter American Paper Optics, a Memphis area firm that manufactures a variety of durable 3D plastic glasses and has established itself as a leading distributor of high-quality solar eclipse viewing glasses.
John Jerit of American Paper Optics said the eclipse “really gives some great opportunities to see something quite amazing or to take some spectacular photographs.”
